Several area businesses will join forces in providing a day of preparedness training, competitions, food and fun at the Lone Wolf Shooter’s Range located at South Highway 160 and Crazy Horse Street.
The event, scheduled to run from 3 to 9 p.m., Saturday Sept. 11, is to commemorate the 2001 terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers World Trade Center in New York.
There will be free workshops in emergency preparedness, first aid, firearms safety and emergency communications.
Shooting range events will include competitions in handgun, rifle and shotgun, and demonstrations of three-gun tactical and cowboy action shooting.
Also scheduled is an 8 p.m. candlelight ceremony honoring the victims of the terrorist attacks. You can purchase a luminaria for the event. All proceeds from luminaria sales and donations will benefit No To Abuse.
General admission will be free as will the workshops.
Food and beverage sales benefit the Boy Scouts of America.
