Pahrump amateur mixed-martial artist Brandon Schneider will compete in the Tuff-N-Uff “Festibrawl” at the Cannery Hotel and Casino in North Las Vegas. Schneider will fight for the 205-pound title. The 16-fight card starts at 7 p.m. General admission tickets are $25 at tuffnuff.com, or $30 at the door. The casino is located at 2121 E. Craig Road, North Las Vegas.

The Grove Wellness Center, the only medical marijuana dispensary approved for Nye County, will hold a patient information party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gathering will be in the parking lot of the planned dispensary at 1541 E. Basin Ave.

The annual Jim Butler Days and Nevada Mining Championships return to Tonopah for Memorial Day weekend. Dirt track races, parade down Main Street, tours of the mining museum, music, wine tasting and children’s events are just part of the events taking place 167 miles north of Pahrump. Named for the miner who started the silver boom in Northern Nye.
