Senior Menu for Pahrump, Beatty and Amargosa Valley

Pahrump Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) and activities for the week of Oct. 2 -Oct. 6. Two percent milk and juice available daily:

Monday – Country fried steak, mashed potatoes, Brussel sprouts, fruit cup, lentil soup;

Tuesday — Orange chicken, rice, snow peas, oriental salad, fruit, soup;

Wednesday – Baked stuffed pork chop, baked yams, lima bean and pea salad, fruit cocktail, soup;

Thursday — Chicken pasta primavera, colorful salad, garlic bread, pineapple mold, soup;

Friday – Battered cod, rice pilaf, asparagus, yogurt pie, black-eyed pea soup.

ACTIVITIES

Monday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; poker, 12:30 p.m.; beading class, 12:30 p.m.;

Tuesday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m.;

Wednesday —Crafty Ladies, 12:30 p.m.; senior health plans open enrollment, 10 a.m.;

Thursday — Exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; Rippits (knitting and crochet group), 11 a.m.; haircuts, 1 p.m.;

Friday — T.O.P.S. meeting, 8 a.m.; exercise class, 9:30 a.m.; S.H.I.P. enrollment, 10 a.m.

Amargosa Valley Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Oct. 2 – Oct. 6:

One percent milk available daily. Meals are served at the Amargosa Valley Senior Center from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Breakfast served from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Monday — Chicken noodle soup, French bread pizza, three-bean salad, rainbow sherbet, oatmeal date bar, pink lemonade;

Tuesday — Baked liver and onions, Mexi-corn, tomatoes vinaigrette, mashed potatoes, whole wheat bread, peaches;

Wednesday — Baked meatloaf, mashed potatoes, steamed spinach, black bean salad, whole wheat bread, fruit cocktail;

Thursday — Pork chop w/mushroom gravy, baked potato, sour cream, broccoli, tossed salad, banana;

Friday — Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs w/veggies, low-sodium sausage, oatmeal, yogurt with fruit, orange juice.

Beatty Senior Center

The menu (subject to change) for the week of Oct. 2 – Oct. 6:

One percent milk available. Meals are served at the Beatty Senior Center from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Monday – Oven fried pork chop, baked sweet potatoes, green beans, pears, applesauce, whole wheat roll;

Tuesday — Roast beef au jus, steamed white rice, steamed baby lima beans, sliced tomatoes, oatmeal bran muffin, apricot halves;

Wednesday – Chicken enchilada, Spanish rice, black beans, baked apple, colorful salad;

Thursday — Lemon baked fish, whole wheat roll, green peas, long grain brown rice, tossed salad, creamy Italian dressing, grapes.
