A couple of things on my mind

First, let me say that I am not happy with the paper messing up the cartoons. The cartoons in today’s paper left a lot to be desired. I hope the full page of cartoons will return soon. If not, at least tell us where we can obtain the cartoons we have liked for so long.

Second, some time back in an editorial, Agenda 21 was mentioned and any concerns about Agenda were sort of brushed off as extremist views and of no concern to Nevada.

Well, there are four local governments in Nevada that belong to the NGO (Non Government Organization) — the ICLEI (International Council of Local Environmental Initiatives). ICLEI pushes for sustainable development, which is Agenda 21. There are currently projects in Nevada connected to sustainable development. Taking land and making it off limits to everyone (rewilding), is one of the Agenda 21 items. Tighter government control of water and electricity usage is one of the Agenda 21 items.

To see what a local government can try and do using sustainable development, one only has to look at what went on in Santa Rosa, Calif. Their fight against sustainable development is portrayed in the book “Behind the Green Mask: U.N. Agenda 21,” by Rosa Koire. A very good read.

Agenda 21 is not good for America and must be kept an eye on for any movements to implement it. Some aspects are already in place, even in Pahrump.

I agree with the comics – they were fine the way they were, no need to “improve” that section.

Lately everyone is about “improving” everything around here and so far all its done is get the town board booted, and everyone angry. The new town motto should be “Leave us alone” because I do miss the days where everyone was not in a rush to turn us into Las Vegas 2.0
