Over the last few weeks we have heard a lot about gun control and how to make this (one nation under God, with liberty and justice for all), a safer place for our children, (I bet a lot of our kids from five to 18 don’t even know what this means).
It’s a little ironic that Pahrump had hundreds of gun-toting citizens on the corner of 372 and 160 — and not one person was harmed.
In closing, I have an idea that would solve two problems. How about taking our returning or out-of-work soldiers and have them work security for schools? This would keep them employed while keeping our children safe.
Rick Thomas

Yes, isn’t it strange that we guard our money, our buildings, our nuclear power plants with men with guns.. but when it comes to schools “Oh no, we cant have men with guns keeping the children safe, that’s just crazy”
As for the “keeping the children safe” angle of this gun control argument, just remember this quote..
“The state must declare the child to be the most precious treasure of the people. As long as the government is perceived as working for the benefit of the children, the people will happily endure almost any curtailment of liberty and almost any deprivation. ”
-Mein Kampf, Adolf Hitler
Who’s going to pay for it? Don’t you realize that would grow our government? And we all know how you teabaggers hate that idea.
