Hollis an asset

We would like the people of Nye County to know what an asset you have in County Commissioner Gary Hollis. We have worked individually with Commissioner Hollis for several years to help the U.S. solve nuclear waste issues. We have seen firsthand his commitment to the citizens of your county. He works hard on your behalf to change the current administration’s efforts to ignore federal law and halt work at Yucca Mountain without congressional consent.
As you know, Commissioner Hollis has worked for many years setting up a Nye County Independent Scientific Investigation program to ensure that if nuclear waste if disposed at Yucca Mountain that is can be done safely. Commissioner Hollis has had significant influence in obtaining oversight funding for the county from the Department of Energy to make sure the county’s independent oversight of the Yucca Mountain program is paid for by the federal government and not the citizens of Nye County. Additionally, Commissioner Hollis has been instrumental in agreements with the Department of Energy to ensure that Nye County receives payments equivalent to taxes for development activities associated with the Yucca Mountain repository.
If re-elected, Commissioner Hollis will continue to fight for these payments, which have ceased due to the ill-advised decision to stop Yucca Mountain.
We urge citizens of Nye County to re-elect Commissioner Hollis so that he may continue his efforts to make sure Yucca Mountain is completed safely. That will include continuation of the federally funded independent oversight by the county, the solution to this nation’s nuclear waste problems, provision of high-paying Yucca Mountain jobs to Nye County residents and restart of the federal tax equivalency payments tot he county. As we have heard Commissioner Hollis say, “We are a nation of laws.”
Please allow Commissioner Hollis the opportunity to make the federal government follow the law regarding Yucca Mountain while at the same time solve a critical national problem and obtain substantial benefits for Nye County.

I refuse to vote for anyone who has ever gone to the Heritage Institute. Not a chance.

  2. Roger says:

ANYONE but Kulkin, and sorry, I would vote for Hollis over anyone running against him.

  3. Robert says:

    Harley isn’t running against Hollis.

i should have worded my response a little differently.
    i know harley isn’t running against hollis….
what i meant is that you would rather waste your vote on an idiot like you did on kulkin….

  5. SamSan says:

I would never vote for Harley for anything anymore. The only reason he got on the town board is because he talked about ridding us of Kolbarger. Again he lied and decided to become Bills best friend once he won the election.
