Shopping Vegas from now on

I recently visited three different super Walmart centers in Las Vegas.
Wow. Their shelves are fully stocked. They have so much more different merchandise than the Pahrump store. I always say Walmart couldn’t care less about Pahrump.
Walmart is also building a new super center just on the other side of the mountain. Gee, what happened to our new store they promised in 2009? They claim the economy stopped it. Well, the traffic has not been reduced at the Pahrump store.
A couple months ago I called the Pahrump store manager to give her an accommodation for an employee. I had to leave a message to call me back — 24 hours later I still had no call. So I called the district manager in Las Vegas to let him know. Lo and behold, the Pahrump manager called me.
A couple weeks later I stopped at the store and asked the employee if she heard that I called. She advised me “no.”
Sad but true. I mentioned it to a department head and her reply was, “That does not surprise me, nobody likes the store manager.”
Several of us decided to share rides and shop at Target in Las Vegas. Sad, because that takes sales tax out of Nye County.

That’s the understatement of the year. The store manager Lian Dutton doesn’t have a clue what she is doing and spends most of her day locked in her office. Maybe someday they’ll actually have a good store manager running the show and it will return to being well run as it was when the store first opened.

The store has not been the same since the first Store Manager, Randy Harmon, left. Then there was Kevin Pape. Whatever. Then Gregg Forsyth shows up. Wow. Morale down the toilet. Now they have Lian who actually worked there as an Assistant Manager a couple years ago. She is now over the people who use to be her boss. You can figure the rest out.

THAT was her name, yeah this is the “Manager” that gave me some serious attitude when returning a defective product. Its no wonder that her employees cant stand her. She has this attitude of “I am better than all of you”

If you go to Vegas to shop, you should go to Costco and support a company that actually supports their employees. On the average, Costco employees earn more than double what Wal-Mart slaves make. And the CEO of Costco only makes about 350 grand per year. THAT is how he is able to hire and keep good people. On the other hand, the 5 Wal-Mart heirs have as much net worth as the bottom 40% of all Americans. And yet they still can’t pay a living wage. The moral of this story is to avoid Wal-Mart like the plague.

Only because of the stock they own, has nothing to do with corporate wages.

Sorry but when I do go to Vegas to shop, I go to Sams club. I was a loyal Costo shopper for years, up until their prices went NUTS (Someone has to pay for those high wages but its not going to be me) and they decided to get upset enough with someone legally carrying a firearm enough to lie and exaggerate the issue to police enough to have the man shot on exiting the store.

Its Sams only now which is owned by walmart and beats Costo prices day in and day out.

As for the local walmart here it IS lame, understocked, dirty, and generally since the new manager has taken over the place has raced downhill. I think they need a real manager in the store like they used to have when the place was pretty decent. The new manager has practically killed this walmart here.

Four weeks after the shooting at Costco I gave up my membership and my Amex card. I will never do business with Costco again for escalating the incident to have that guy lose his life.

I have to agree. This Wal-Mart needs a new manager and a stocking of merchandise. I hate going there but I can’t afford to run down to LV constantly when I need something only Wal-Mart carries. That’s probably one of the reasons the manager is useless. She knows she has a captive audience and thinks she doesn’t have to try to please anyone. If we all sent letters to their corporate office, do you think it would help?

Why complain here why not call the 800# and put in formal complaints through them! i’ve dealt with them and got great results! if everyone were to call and complain about our walmart manager maybe JUST MAYBE some change will happen! EVEN call the DISTRICT manager if you have to! don’t sit on your ARSES use your brains for once!

Drivig back and forth everyday to Vegas I don’t have a lot of time to shop. Lately I can’t seem to find what I need at Wal-Mart. Tons of empty shelves and weeks being out of the same product. J whats that 800# I’d love to call and voice my displeasure.

1-800- Walmart. I personally would go to Customer Service and get the District Manager’s number off the wall. You think he wants all these people calling him? His name is Sean Evans.
