2 sought in robbery of elderly man

The Nye County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects who robbed an elderly Pahrump man at gunpoint over the weekend.

The elderly disabled veteran called police to report being robbed at gunpoint at his home, near Basin Road and Lola Lane, by two male suspects. The incident occurred Saturday at approximately 2:45 p.m., police said.

During the robbery one of the suspects threatened the victim with a pistol and demanded his wallet, police stated.

The suspects are described as older teenagers, with dark colored skin.

The first suspect was about 5’6”, with average build and was wearing a T-shirt and a dark pair of shorts, police said. The suspect had a dark colored off-road style bicycle.

The second suspect was described as slightly taller than the first suspect, with a larger build. He was wearing a T-shirt and long jeans.

Both suspects were last seen fleeing eastbound on Basin Road toward Lola Lane, possibly turning northbound on Lola Lane, police reported.

Detectives are requesting the public’s immediate assistance with this case, and cautioned that both suspects should be considered armed and dangerous.

If anyone locates or has any information on the two at-large subjects, they are urged to call police at 775-751-7000.

Callers may remain anonymous.
