5 arrested in alleged pot-selling house near the high school
Five people, including a mother and her two children, were arrested last week on several charges related to suspicion of drug dealing at a residence near the high school.
The Nye County Sheriff’s Office received information from two juveniles that either purchased marijuana or smoked it at the residence, which is located two-tenths of a mile away from Pahrump Valley High School, that the occupants were dealing marijuana to high school students during their lunch break.
Blair Martin, 37, Elizabeth Johnson, Lacey Olson-Ivy, and her two sons Willard Glen-Ivy III, and a 17-year-old juvenile were taken into custody on Feb. 24 at the residence on 1681 S. Mt. Charleston Pkwy. after a search warrant carried out by the Nye County Sheriff’s Office yielded drugs and drug paraphernalia, according to police records.
Police discovered over 600 grams of marijuana and over two grams of methamphetamine, in addition to needles and a marijuana pipe during their search.
Officers found Johnson, Glen-Ivy’s girlfriend who occasionally stays at the home, hiding in the back yard with a bottle of hash oil, according to police.
Olson-Ivy’s 13-year daughter was also at the residence during the search, but it was determined she was not a suspect and was released to her grandmother.
The 13-year-old allegedly knew of the drug activity taking place in the household according to police records.
All suspects at the residence admitted to smoking marijuana except Johnson, who was confused and had bloodshot, watery eyes at the time of the search, police records stated.
Charges for the four suspects include, possession with intent to sell a schedule 1 controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, child abuse/neglect, maintain a house for use/sale of controlled substance, and unlawful use of a narcotic.
The four adult suspects were booked into the Nye County Detention Center and the 17-year-old was turned over to Nye County Juvenile Probation.
