COPS: NCDC Inmate says meth in bra for someone else

A woman arrested on a warrant earned herself an extra charge of possession of a controlled substance after allegedly trying to sneak methamphetamine into the Pahrump jail in her bra.
According to a declaration of arrest in the case, a Nye County Sheriff’s deputy was called to the area of Star Road and Erin Street on Tuesday to transport Amanda Nola Lowe to jail on a no bail Las Vegas warrant.
Once they arrived at the Nye County Detention Center, the deputy told Lowe she was going to search her, and asked if she had any drugs or weapons on her that the deputy should know about.
Lowe reportedly told the deputy she had two lighters in her bra, which the deputy then removed.
As they began the intake process inside the jail, Lowe allegedly whispered to the deputy that she also had a small baggie of “dope” in her bra, which she had planned on bringing into the jail for someone. Lowe then reportedly asked if she would be allowed to flush it down the toilet.
The deputy told her no and conducted a closer search of the suspect, retrieving the baggie from her bra.
The clear plastic bag contained a crystal-like substance, which tested presumptive positive for methamphetamine.
Lowe was then booked into the detention center on the warrant and a charge of possession.
