Gun pulled on Pahrump area landscaping crew

It appears the sound of lawnmowers and weed whackers did not sit well with a resident at the Best Western RV Park on Wednesday afternoon just before 1:30 p.m.

As a result, the unidentified woman retrieved a .357 Magnum and began brandishing the weapon, as the landscapers scrambled for cover and called 911, authorities said.

Nye County Sheriff’s deputies responded en masse to the scene, according to Sheriff Sharon Wehrly.

“We received reports of a woman brandishing a firearm,” Wehrly said. “Apparently, she had a problem with the landscaping crew who are here every day. This time she was very upset with them and pulled a gun on them. They took off running and called 911.”

After questioning the woman and witnesses, deputies subsequently placed the woman under arrest on undisclosed charges.

No injuries were reported.
