BUSINESS: Manager of Tire Works Total Car Care

AGE: 30

BACKGROUND: “I’ve done television technology for Channel 30 and I’ve done landscaping, but I’ve been into automotive sales and repair most of my life.”

FIRST JOB: “I worked for Desert View Volkswagen as a mechanic when I was 16.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I’ve been working locally since we moved to Pahrump 10 years ago. Tire Works is a member of the Chamber of Commerce and as a local business we donate to the charity organization for their raffle prizes. We rarely make cash donations but we do donate gift certificates for goods and services.”

PERSONAL: “I don’t have a lot of free time. I’m an honest and hardworking man trying to change the face of the automotive repair industry in Pahrump, and I race on weekends.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE: “I think Pahrump is a good place for business. People buy locally and word-of-mouth is big here. I wish the resident understood that although we do tires and oil changes, we are a total repair shop and want to attract good quality applicants when we have job openings.

“The population needs to grow here and the best way to have that happen is to provide incentives for businesses to open and create the jobs we need.”
