An Amber Alert has been issued for three children taken from their foster home in Idaho and last seen with their non-custodial mother in Tonopah on Saturday.
Authorities in both Idaho and Nevada are looking for Bertha Sabala Guerrero, 35, who allegedly took her three children from their foster home in Caldwell, Idaho and never returned.
Unfortunately for the public, no photographs were available for publication.
Sabala Guerrero, who does not have custody of her children, reportedly picked them up for a scheduled visitation around 3 p.m. on Friday.
She was supposed to bring them back to their foster parents at 3 p.m. on Saturday, but neither she nor the children ever returned.
Police said the Amber Alert was issued at 11 p.m. on Saturday for 9-year-old Ubaldo Guerrero-Lopez, 7-year-old Mirella Guerrero-Lopez and 5-year-old Esmerelda Guerrero-Lopez.
As of Tuesday, the children were still missing from their Caldwell foster home.
Nine-year-old Ubaldo was said to be wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black Adios tennis shoes on Friday when Sabala Guerrero picked up he and his siblings.
His sister Mirella, was wearing a tan and pink coat, blue jeans and brown and pink shoes.
And the youngest child, Esmerelda, was said to be wearing a pink shirt with a monkey on the front, blue jeans with flowers on the legs and a pink hooded sweatshirt the last time she was seen.
Sabala Guerrero is reportedly driving a grey Pontiac Oldsmobile with Nevada license plate number 389XPR.
It is the same car a Nevada Highway Patrol trooper made contact with Saturday morning in Tonopah, just hours before the children were due back to their foster parents.
They were close to nine hours away from the foster parents’ Idaho home.
Lt. Alan Seevers of the Caldwell Police Department in Idaho said the children were in the car at the time of the stop in Tonopah.
Trooper Loy Hixson of the NHP said no Amber Alert, however, had been issued at the time the trooper spoke with Sabala Guerrero and her children.
All three kids looked fine in the vehicle, other than the fact they were not wearing their seatbelts, Seevers said.
With no Amber Alert, no signs of kidnapping and no visible harm to the children, the trooper had no reason to suspect the kids were missing, Hixson said.
Sabala Guerrero is reported to have ties to the Las Vegas area as well as to Phoenix, Ariz., and Mexico.
Seevers said Sabala Guerrero had told the NHP trooper that she was on her way into Las Vegas with the children, which is where authorities believe they may be now.
Tonopah is the last location police are able to verify Sabala Guerrero and the children were seen.
Hixson said the NHP is now on the lookout for the vehicle seen on Saturday.
“There have been no reports to us of sightings of the car,” Hixson said Monday. “Anytime we have something like this though, we put out the alert to all of our troopers so we can make sure we catch them,” he said.
Seevers said there have been several calls into the Caldwell Police Department about the location of the missing children and their mother, but police have been unable to verify if any of the reports are true.
According to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Sabala Guerrero has a residence in Nevada and a history of drug abuse and child abandonment.
She is described as a five-foot-one-inch tall Hispanic woman weighing 139 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
Seevers said she also has several last names including Sabala Guerrero and Guerrero-Castro that she answers to.
Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of the children or Sabala Guerrero should call 911 immediately to report the information.

I posted on Positive Pahrump, I hope they are returned safe and sound. Good thoughts and fingers crossed.
I’m just wondering why there was no Amber Alert issued on the information billboard heading out of Pahrump on SR 160 to Las Vegas but there is one on the way back from Las Vegas at SR 159? These kids could be anywhere in between and having the billboard lit up with their information would be of great help to all.
Is she dangerous? Do they think she will harm her children? Why were they removed from her in the first place? This article makes it sound like they are in imminent danger, but if she was allowed to have visitation with the children unsupervised and outside the foster home, it doesn’t sound like authorities feared for the safety of the children. It could be a matter of a desperate mother who doesn’t want to be separated from her babies any more. And maybe the children don’t want to go back to the foster home. Who knows what has happened there? There are a lot of holes in this story. I pray they are all safe and that somehow the family will be healed and reunited. I cannot imagine NOT having my children!
i also can not imagine what it would be like to be forcibly seperated from my children.
the woman in the story is despreate to have her children of that i am sure.
the woman apparently has a history of using drugs, getting high and taking off on her kids.
if she has a history of doing this i am sure that means she has done it more then once and may be only a matter of time before she does it again.
