Tractor Supply puts on preview party, does soft opening in Pahrump

The Tractor Supply Co. retail store in Pahrump showed off its wares during a preview event on Friday and is now open to the public.

Dozens filtered in the front doors of the new Tractor Supply retail store, with more than 19,000 square feet of space at 900 E. Highway 372, for a sneak peek of hundreds of products geared toward the rural farmer on Oct. 27, 2017. The following morning, the store hit the ground running with its soft opening.

Mike Slingerland, store manager at the new location, said the soft opening period is to make sure all the bugs get worked out.

“That time period is our test period,” he said. “We’re going to be testing everything, all the systems, make sure everything works, getting the pricing caught back up, getting my team trained, making sure that our freight process is working.”

The new store, the first in Southern Nevada, has its shelves stocked with items such as chicken feed and horse products, along with tractor supplies, such as tires, and other products.

Tractor Supply is now preparing for its next celebration—its grand opening event on Nov. 11.

The Saturday event is scheduled to run during normal business hours from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tractor Supply is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
