The Nye County Veterans Services office will be closed from Monday, Dec. 24 until Jan. 14, when the office will re-open for normal business.
Nye County Veterans Services has gone to a four-day, 10-hour work week.
The new office hours are 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Nye County implemented a mandatory furlough day of one work day per month. Volunteer staff may be in the office to help assist while the director is out.
It is advised that clients call before coming to the office to ensure someone will be there to assist them.
Anyone who has any questions or inquiries, is asked to call 751-6372 or 888-924-4308 and leave a voice mail with their contact information.
Veterans service staff will return all phone calls and emails when the office re-opens for normal business hours.

Ken is one the most valuable resources the county has. He is invaluable to the veterans who need his help and he rarely disappoints.
