Big business and government need to be separate

Chuck calls his blog “Muth’s Truths.” Are they really truths Chucky? I question your May 14 article and its reasoning.

For years the federal and state governments have been encouraging the public to use less energy and do all they could to conserve it. Now, just like the government on automotive fuel standards, they are not getting enough in fuel taxes.

I wonder if Chuck has Berkshire Hathaway’s interest (ie Warren Buffet) or is just friends with Mr. Buffet? Those are the people who’d be big losers if individuals really became energy independent. If the crony capitalists win, enforced by government, individuals lose.

On a related subject, Mr. Buffet is also against the Keystone pipeline, why? Because Berkshire Hathaway owns a lot of stock in Union Tank Car and UTLX, a railway tank car manufacturing company and an oil transport company, which are very expensive and a dangerous way to transport oil but very profitable for these companies.

Thus we have political contributions for political favors.

Maybe another separation of powers would be in order; that of big business and government.
