Soccer fundraiser

The girls soccer team is holding a car wash at Draft Picks on Saturday from noon-4 p.m. to help with hotels for tournaments and new workout gear. Girls soccer tryouts will be on Aug. 12.

Volleyball officials meeting

A Central Nevada sports officials camp is planned for volleyball officials at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 28 and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 29. which will be on court training in conjunction with the high school volleyball camp at Tonopah High School.

Ellen Townsend, commissioner of officials for the Northern Nevada Officials Association, will be the camp instructor.

Any other volleyball officials from other associations are invited to attend.

This will be a good pre-season camp to attend and is free to all.

Trojans girls basketball moves on to the quarterfinals

After Avery Moore stole a pass from the Sports Leadership and Management (SLAM) girls basketball team she passed the ball to Paris Coleman who ran up and scored the team’s fourth two-pointer in less than two minutes.
