Lake Spring Mountain set for ‘17 season opening in Pahrump

Lake Spring Mountain, which is part of the Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club, will open its doors for the season this weekend.

The four-acre fresh-water lake and the surrounding facility will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays for the summer season, said Samantha Harris, marketing coordinator for Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club.

“The only thing different from last season is the resort will close the lake during the week to hold special events at the lake,” Harris said.

The cost to enter for a day pass is $15 for adults and $10 per child.

And the site offers more to do at the lake than just swimming and sunbathing. Harris said access is available to watersport rentals. The rentals include the following for $15 per hour or $20 for two: paddleboats, kayaks, rafts, and pedal boats.

People can rent cabanas to shelter themselves from the desert sun for $100 for four hours or $150 for all day. The price includes two lounge chairs, towels, a cooler of beverages for four people and snacks.

A tiki bar at the lake offers adult beverages.

In addition to the water fun,Jetpack America is on the site, where people can get a ride on a jetpack.

For more information on that, contact Jetpack America at 1-888-553-6471.

The lake is available for special events. For additional information on specialized pricing for events or lake inquiries, call Spring Mountain at 1-800-391-6891.
