A Youth Sports Experience - Summer 2017 is a sports performance program offered to improve/develop each athlete’s talent and character into ability and presence.

Who: Third-12th-grade athletes. When: May 26-29 and June 3-7. Times: 10-11 a.m. -third-seventh grade athletes; noon to 1 p.m. - eighth-12th grade athletes.

Where: Pahrump Valley High School football field or gym. Price: $10 for one day and $20 for four days. There will be 10 sponsored spots available for families or athletes not financially able to participate. Just show up to experience or contact me directly. Email: dominiquemaloy@yahoo.com.

G.R.E.A.T. Summer Program: TheNye County Sheriff’s Office hosts G.R.E.A.T. Summer Program for the children in our community at no cost to participants. The G.R.E.A.T. Summer Program is an opportunity for children K-eighth grade to come and enjoy games, physical activities, win prizes, and build leadership and social skills. Lunches will be provided. Please bring sunscreen and a water bottle for your children. The NCSO is also looking for parents and high school students who would like to volunteer. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please complete an application and submit back to the sheriff’s office at sheriff@co.nye.nv.us. The Trojans softball team suffered their first loss this season against a school from a neighboring state on Monday, but it also added a win in a weekend game against Moapa Valley (2-1) at home.
