Boys basketball

Spring Valley 46, Pahrump Valley 41 - At Pahrump, Eric Hansen scored 16 points as the Grizzlies held off the Trojans.

Tahj Whitley added 10 points for Spring Valley, which trailed 21-20 at halftime and outscored Pahrump 15-6 in the third quarter.

Danny Foss led the Trojans with 16 points.

Girls basketball

Spring Valley 50, Pahrump Valley 23 - At Pahrump, Alyssa Scott scored 13 points as the Grizzlies defeated the Trojans.

Lynnae Wilds had 11 points for Spring Valley, which led 17-2 after one quarter.

Lauren Ashford scored seven points for Pahrump.

Special Olympics

Our Bocce Ball Season will begin on Feb. 25 from 3:30 to 5:00 at the Bocce Ball Courts located at Ian Deutch Memorial Park. Our program is open to anyone with special needs with a minimum age of 8 years.

Sitting undefeated in the 3A South-Mountain baseball standings, the Pahrump Valley Trojans got their fifth win in a row.

The Trojans softball team suffered their first loss this season against a school from a neighboring state on Monday, but it also added a win in a weekend game against Moapa Valley (2-1) at home.

By the end of the weekend, the Tonopah Muckers had played four games, where they scored over 17 runs.
