The Pahrump Art Gallery on East Street, north of the library, will be changing out the exhibit on Monday, Jan. 6. Fourteen artists will be participating this quarter. The featured artist for this quarter is Kathy Leroy.
Leroy has been living in Pahrump with her husband Hubert since 1999.
She always wanted to paint, and luckily, found a teacher here in Pahrump and started painting in 2010. She paints in oil, acrylic and watercolor.
She has been involved in the Pahrump Art Gallery since it was founded in April 2012, and is a member of The Spring Mountain Art Guild and the Pahrump Arts Council.
There will be an artist’s reception Friday, Jan. 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Drop by and meet the artists, have some coffee and cookies, and browse the beautiful local artwork and art related items.
