The Nevada Department of Education’s Gear Up program held a College and Career Fair program in the Beatty Community Center Feb. 26. Students were able to speak with representatives from colleges and universities and with people in a wide variety of careers. Students involved included Amargosa Valley, Esmeralda, and Rosemary Clarke eighth graders, and freshmen from Beatty, Pahrump, and Tonopah high schools, and both eighth graders and freshmen from Gabbs.
