The seniors have a chance to get on board for a trip to Laughlin, but the deadline to purchase tickets is looming.
Pahrump Senior Center Transportation Director Don McIntosh has planned a three-night, four-day getaway for seniors wanting to see the sights, shop or relax.
As is his usual practice, McIntosh has booked a Silver State Trailways luxury bus for the trip which leaves the Draft Picks parking lot at 9:30 a.m., Dec. 1 and returns Dec. 4 around 7:30 p.m.
A stop at the Sunridge Village in Boulder City will provide participants with a complimentary lunch before moving on to Laughlin.
Tickets are $90 per person for double occupancy and $120 per person for single occupancy at the newly remodeled Edgewater Hotel &Casino.
McIntosh said other perks include a complimentary buffet of choice and coupons for coffee and pastries. The hotel will also give each guest colorful beads to wear while gambling. The objective is to be spotted by the “Santa Patrol” for other prizes or gifts.
A free $10,000 bingo extravaganza is planned for Dec. 2 and 3.
When the bus leaves Laughlin at 10 a.m., Dec. 4, it will head to Sam’s Town for lunch in one of the establishment’s several restaurants. Afterward there will be a trip through the Mystical Gardens before it’s off to the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas and check out the Christmas lights.
The bus will head back to Pahrump no later than 6 p.m.
