• The Moose Lodge, located at 1100 East Second St. will be having their annual White Elephant Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and also Saturday, Oct. 7 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be clothing, kitchenware, books, decorations, furniture, knickknacks and more for sale. Burgers and hot dogs will be available for purchase from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

• Bikers Against Bullying 1st Annual Bullying Awareness Ride poker run begins and ends at Low Side Cigar Lounge, 1971 Pahrump Valley Blvd. Registration from 9-10:30 a.m. First bike out at 11 a.m., last bike out at 11:30. All poker hands must be turned in by 3 p.m. $20 per rider, $10 per passenger, $5 2nd hand. Includes food at end spot.

• The monthly Kids’ Workshop at Home Depot will be conducted Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Children will be constructing a rescue floatplane. Register your 5 -to 12-year-old children at www.homedepot.com/workshops. “Get here a bit early to make sure you get a kit. They go pretty fast.”

FUTURE PLANNING

• Chili chefs can sign up now to enter the Chili Cook-Off at Our Lady of the Valley, to be held Saturday Oct. 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parish hall. Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners. • Weather permitting, EAA Chapter 1160 will host its annual Young Eagles Rally Oct. 14, from 8 a.m. to noon, at Calvada Meadows Park, 900 E. Jenny Circle, just off Highway 160.
