Dr. Tom Waters will be speaking about the exhibit that will be on display through July 18 called “Always Lost: A Meditation on War.” The exhibition is at the Pahrump Valley Museum and brings home the personal and collective costs of war through original poetry by Nevada Writers, and the Wall of the Dead, faces and names of U.S. military war casualties in Iraq and Afghanistan since Sept. 11, 2001. This week’s Movie in the Park is “How to Train Your Dragon 2,” an adventurous, animated family film about a boy named Hiccup with his dragon, Toothless, who find themselves on an adventure leading them to Hiccup’s long-lost mother.
