This will be another full weekend of activity and you’ll want to do it all.
Sanders Winery will present one of the final outdoor concerts Saturday when DejaVu again performs in the courtyard at Sanders Family Winery.
The band plays every style of music from rock and roll, to disco and country. The group is a celebrated show band and winery owner Jack Sanders said there will be space to dance and kick up your heels.
Having played the venue previously, Sanders said the band members extend their thanks to the Pahrump community for supporting them in performances at the winery.

The two remaining shows scheduled are smooth jazz with the Tommy Thompson Project on Oct. 12. The Johnny Cash Tribute Show will close the summer concert series on Oct. 19.
This weekend is also the date for the annual Bob Baker Wild West Extravaganza at Petrack Park.
There will be games, contests, live entertainment, food vendors and arts and crafts vendors.
Also scheduled are Civil War re-enactments, the Native American village and the raffle drawing for a .22 rifle sponsored by W.R. Sporting LLC.
The Shadow Mountain Community Players will stage “Money in the Bank … or It’s All Your Vault,” as the melodrama performance at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday evenings in the Bob Ruud Community Center. There will also be a half-priced matinee at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
There’s a big shindig scheduled for the Maverick Saturday and Sunday.
“Cowboy” Ken Pyle will kick off Christmas the Cowboy Way, an annual event which helps less fortunate families over the holiday season.
The event features food, a trail ride, vendors, contests raffles and live music.
A Pancake breakfast will be at 8 a.m. Saturday with a trail ride to begin at 9 a.m. Rider’s fees are $20 per person which includes breakfast and the barbecue. Non-riders can participate in the 4 p.m. barbecue for $5 and $7. The Saturday barbecue is hot dogs and hamburgers, potato salad and beans.
Sunday’s events begin at 10 a.m. for the vendors and live music from Tony Larson &Single Action .44 will begin at noon. The barbecue will be at 2 p.m. and will cost $8.
Several trail rides which include lunch will be scheduled between now and Christmas to raise money for Christmas the Cowboy Way. Funds are used for gifts and a holiday meal for needy families.
The youth of the community will have something to do this weekend as well.
NyE Communities Coalition and St. Martin’s in the Desert Episcopal Church will host a teen night Oct. 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the NyECC Campus, 1021 E. Wilson Road. High school and middle school aged kids can play games, sing karaoke and munch for free.
It’s time to order your trees from the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension office. Delivery is Oct. 12 for the one- and five-gallon trees and shrubs provided by the Nevada Division of Forestry.
