BLM and TravelNevada kick off ‘17 photo contest

The 2017 U.S. Bureau of Land Management Nevada photo contest is underway in partnership with TravelNevada, organizers announced. BLM Nevada will be accepting submissions for its annual photo contest through Sept.15.

“When you travel to a new place, it’s the experiences that make the best souvenirs,” said Claudia Vecchio, director of the Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs.

“In Nevada, you can have unforgettable experiences, whether you’re adventuring in the immense public lands, exploring a unique historic site, or enjoying one of the state’s multitude of events,” Vecchio said.

Organizers are seeking amazing photos that highlight the best of BLM Nevada’s lands and historical sites.

Categories include:

Don’t forget new people you may come across while exploring, capturing true Nevada characters in their own element will be considered, as well, organizers said.
