Woman jailed for domestic violence, giving false information
Cassandra Kay Jones was arrested on Aug.16 and faces preliminary charges of domestic battery and using information of another to avoid prosecution after deputies were dispatched to Horizon Market, located at 2030 W. Bell Vista Ave., regarding a possible domestic violence call.
After deputies arrived, they made contact with a male who reportedly stated that his girlfriend, identified as Jones, had attacked him while he was driving on Leslie Street. Deputies noted the victim had fresh scratches on his neck.
When deputies attempted to make contact with Jones, she reportedly gave them a false name and date of birth and was taken into custody.
When questioned about her name again, Jones reportedly said she gave a false name because she has warrants. Deputies subsequently confirmed that Jones had two active warrants out of Pahrump Justice Court for her arrest.
Jones was arrested, transported to the jail, booked and held on $33,000 bond.
Man jailed after ‘huffing’ aerosol cans
John Dilauro was jailed on Aug. 13 and faces a preliminary charge of use/possess chemical for hallucinate after deputies with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an unknown male allegedly using narcotics inside the bathroom at Walmart, located at 300 S. Highway 160.
A loss prevention employee told deputies that the male, identified as Dilauro, was allegedly using narcotics in the bathroom. The employee reportedly said that Dilauro had locked himself in the bathroom and had his pants pulled off and was allegedly “huffing” on aerosol cans used for computers.
When deputies entered the bathroom, they reportedly saw Dilauro lying on the ground in the men’s handicapped stall and “huffing” on a can of air commonly used on computers. Deputies asked Dilauro to open the bathroom door and he refused. After several requests to open the stall door, deputies forced entry and reportedly noted in the arrest report that Dilauro was still “huffing” on an aerosol can of air.
Deputies reportedly noted there were two other empty cans of aerosol in the stall with Dilauro and one half full can on the ground outside the stall.
Dilauro was arrested, transported to the Nye County Detention Center, booked and held on $640 bond.
Man arrested for assaulting sibling
Treston Lambert was arrested on Aug. 15 and faces a preliminary charge of domestic battery after deputies were dispatched to a report of a domestic battery call at a residence on Barney Street.
When deputies made contact with the reporting party she reportedly explained that the suspect was her brother, who was identified as Lambert and they were involved in a physical altercation. The victim said that Lambert became angry and allegedly lunged at her. When a mutual friend tried to intervene, Lambert pushed the friend away. The victim explained that Lambert then shoved her to the ground, threw her into a gate and allegedly slammed her onto the gravel driveway which caused her to lose consciousness.
According to the arrest report, deputies observed multiple red marks and abrasions on the victim’s back, shoulders and hands as well as a laceration on her head. The victim reportedly said the fight started at a residence on Bruce Street where they both reside. Deputies did not locate Lambert at the Barney Street location.
Deputies made contact with Lambert at the front door of the Bruce Street residence. When questioned, Lambert reportedly admitted he was involved in a physical altercation with the victim. Lambert told deputies it was the victim who got upset and punched Lambert on the left side of his head. As deputies spoke with Lambert they reportedly observed some minor marks on his face and below his eye.
Lambert told deputies that he pushed the victim to make her stop.
Deputies determined that Lambert was the primary aggressor. Lambert was arrested, transported to the jail, booked and held on $3,000 bond.
