Man jailed for parole violation while walking intoxicated
Jason Charles Stevens, 39, was arrested on Nov. 26 and charged with intoxicated person in the road and parole/probation warrant.
Police were called to the area of Gamebird Road and Pahrump Valley Boulevard regarding two possibly intoxicated males walking in the road.
Police subsequently made contact with both men who were identified as Stevens and a second male. According to the arrest report, police noted that Stevens stumbled several times into the travel lane but the other man was off the roadway on the gravel shoulder and out of danger.
As police spoke to Stevens, they reportedly smelled the odor of an unknown intoxicating liquor emanating from him and his eyes were bloodshot. Both men reportedly admitted to drinking the night before as well as having a “hangover beer” earlier in the morning.
Police subsequently learned that Stevens had a parole and probation warrant out for his arrest. After being arrested and transported to the Nye County Detention Center, Stevens was given a preliminary breath test which reportedly returned with a possible blood alcohol content of .305 percent.
However, police noted that they were unable to perform a secondary sample because of deficient breath results.
Man jailed for domestic battery
Peter Dillman was arrested on Thanksgiving and charged with first degree domestic battery after police were dispatched to an address on Oakridge Avenue regarding domestic violence.
Police made contact with Dillman, who reportedly said that he was agitated and wanted to leave the residence but the victim and the witness were trying to control him.
Police subsequently learned from the victim and the witness that Dillman was extremely agitated and had been diagnosed with mental illness and they feared if he left the residence he might attack someone. The victim reportedly said that at one point, Dillman, who was sitting in a chair, kicked his sister.
The victim subsequently corroborated the events. Dillman was arrested and transported to the Nye County Detention Center.
Man jailed for domestic violence
Carl Fort was arrested and charged with domestic battery on Thanksgiving after deputies with the Nye County Sheriff’s Office were called to a report of a physical altercation on Comanche Road.
According to the arrest report, deputies made contact with Fort at the residence, and he reportedly said that he and his mother had been arguing for the previous two days. Deputies noted that Fort appeared to be visibly upset. When questioned about whether he pushed the victim, Fort reportedly denied any physical contact.
Deputies subsequently questioned the other four witnesses who reportedly told deputies that the victim had allowed Fort to move into her home the previous month. The victim explained that Fort had been abusing his prescription medications.
The victim told deputies that Fort had been getting, “very loud and belligerent.”
The victim explained that while she was facing the stove she was shoved from behind during the argument and made contact with the counter top.
After deputies spoke with the other three witnesses, Fort was placed under arrest and transported to the jail and booked.
