Fleiss arrested in pot DUI; $10k seized

Heidi Fleiss is in trouble again. She was arrested early Tuesday morning after police say they caught her driving under the influence of marijuana just two days before a scheduled court appearance on charges related to a marijuana grow operation discovered at her Pahrump home earlier this year.

Fleiss was taken into custody around 3:30 a.m. on charges of being under the influence of a controlled substance, DUI drugs, possession of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of greater than one ounce of marijuana, driving without a license, driving with suspended registration and driving with no insurance.

According to the Nye County Sheriff’s Office, detectives saw Fleiss operating a 2010 Toyota Cruiser on State Route160. A subsequent records check on the vehicle revealed that the registration was suspended and that Fleiss did not have a driver’s license.

Officers conducted a traffic stop with Fleiss, during which time they allegedly located approximately four ounces of marijuana in her vehicle. They also reportedly discovered that Fleiss appeared to be under the influence of marijuana. Fleiss was also found carrying $10,000 in cash, which was seized.

Police conducted a series of field sobriety tests with Fleiss at which time it was determined she was under the influence of marijuana.

Fleiss was booked into the Nye County Detention Center following her arrest and her bail has been set at $22,233. She is set to appear in Pahrump Justice Court later today.
