The lowest cash price for regular unleaded gasoline in Pahrump was $2.09 per gallon Tuesday, which is up six cents from last week’s lowest price of $2.03 a gallon.
This is the first rise in gas prices in town after three straight weeks of declining gas prices. Before the trio of lower prices, Pahrump saw several weeks of fuel prices remaining steady or rising around town.
Gas prices are down 19 percent compared to the same week last year, as the lowest advertised cash price for a gallon of gas in the valley was $2.59 cash for regular gas.
Statewide, the average price of gasoline rose five cents per gallon over the last week to $2.41 per gallon of regular unleaded gasoline, which is a 77-cent drop from this week last year, as the statewide average was $3.18.
