Golden’s Pahrump properties commemorate anniversaries

Golden Gaming An out-of-state player won $74K from the Pahrump Nugget on Oct. 9.

The Pahrump Nugget is celebrating a milestone in its history in mid-March.

The gaming property will turn 20 years old on on Saturday.

Catherine Tillett, director of marketing for Golden Casino Group, said the casino will be having floor promotions and other specials.

The property is packed with entertainment options: It has a cafe, table and slot play available.

“It has the largest sports book in town and the most variety of machines as well and the most amenities than any other casino,” Tillett said.

Golden Entertainment, the owner of the Pahrump property, purchased it in 2006. Historically, before it was the site of a major casino in Pahrump, the property was the site of the former Pahrump Ranch, where a cotton gin was located.

The property has seen some expansion, including expanding its sportsbook.

Golden’s other property, Lakeside Casino and RV Park is also celebrating its 22nd anniversary on March 27.

The RV park, which has 159 sites, is currently thriving, according to Tillett.

“What we’ve seen is an increase in RV travel,” she said. “More guests are traveling through with RVs.”

That property is also set to have specials abound for patrons.

Golden Entertainment owns and operates gaming properties across two divisions, casino operations and distributed gaming. Golden operates approximately 15,700 slots, 130 table games and 6,200 hotel rooms in 10 casino resorts, nine in Southern Nevada and one in Maryland.

Through its distributed gaming business in Nevada and Montana, Golden operates video gaming devices at approximately 1,000 locations and owns more than 65 traditional taverns in Nevada. Golden is also licensed in Illinois and Pennsylvania to operate video gaming terminals.
