IN PROFILE: Cindy Arnhart

BUSINESS: Cow County Title

AGE: 53

BACKGROUND: “I started in this business in 1985 at First American Title in Reno as a receptionist. Then I became an escrow secretary. I then moved down to Tonopah in 1987, where I did searches. I had met my husband Tom through First American and we ran the Tonopah office together. My favorite part of the job is the searching. I like going in and confirming that the titles are valid and I also enjoy helping people clear the title if there are problems with it. ”

FIRST JOB: “My first job was as a dental assistant in Reno, where I worked with a semi-retired dentist.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I have been in business for 30 years.”

PERSONAL: “I enjoy fishing and hunting. I like getting into the outdoors and I shot my first deer this past season. I used a 7mm Winchester rifle to bag a three-point buck. I got this buck while he was on the run.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE: “Our business is coming back and we ares seeing more escrows. We are starting to see the values of the homes coming back a little bit. People are still underwater but it’s not as bad.”
