BACKGROUND: “I moved here when I was 9 and as soon as I could go to work, I did. I’ve driven trucks, done landscaping for Snowden’s and worked in different capacities for the Pahrump Nugget for five years.”
FIRST JOB: “I worked for Snowden’s Landscape when I was 16.”
YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I lived in Pahrump for 16 years and moved to Louisiana. I moved back almost two years ago. I’ve always worked wherever I am and I enjoy helping people. On my off hours I always ask those carrying bags of groceries if they need a ride. I’ve worked on people’s cars for them when they can’t afford a mechanic’s shop and I’ve never seen anyone broken down on the side of the road that I didn’t stop to see if I could help. I also volunteer with Oasis Outreach programs.”
PERSONAL: “I love taking my family off-roading. We have a dune buggy and a sand rail and quads. We enjoy spending time gathering with family and friends. I’m from the south. It’s all about family.”
BUSINESS CLIMATE: “It would be nice to have some activities for kids here. I also believe in shopping locally but when I look at how long it took for Walmart to get built here, I can see it’s a problem bringing franchises and big box retailers to come to Pahrump. They don’t make it easy.”
