Steve Brummett

BUSINESS: Service Manager for Saitta-Trudeau

AGE: 57

BACKGROUND: “I’ve been in parts and service for 36 years and worked in different places. I spent time working for an automotive manufacturing company as well.”

FIRST JOB: “When I was 18, I went to work at a Volkswagon dealership in a technical training program.”

YEARS IN BUSINESS: “I have lived in Pahrump since 2008 and been in the workforce here since then. I feel fortunate to be a part of this community. “I moved here because my wife and I wanted to get out of the Las Vegas area – have some space around our home.”

The dealership has a good following of local customers and it’s good to see the residents support local businesses. Saitta-Trudeau is very active in its support of local charity organizations and super supportive of athletics on all levels. They also sponsor community events like the Easter egg hunt and Miss Pahrump Valley pageant and are involved in several food programs.

PERSONAL: “I like the outdoors and enjoy hunting and fishing. I enjoy barbecuing and spending time with my grandkids. The great thing about grandkids is you can have them for a while and then give them back.”

BUSINESS CLIMATE:

“Things are moving forward in attracting new businesses here and we need some of those services. It would be better for local businesses if they could stock an inventory for their customers. Usually, the reason someone comes to your place of business is because that’s when they need whatever it is they’re looking for. Otherwise, they could go online and order it themselves. It’s all about customer service. It’s convenient to live close to Las Vegas, but not be a part of that environment.
