Background: “I have been on my own since 2014 with WTF. I have one truck and one backhoe and I cater to homeowners, hauling them rock. I also believe that I beat Star Nursery prices. I buy my rock from different sources like Awesome Construction and Wulfenstein Construction. I am willing to work Saturday and Sunday and people always can get me on my phone.”
Personal: “I weld to relax. I like building off-road toys. In the past I built a Chevy 2500 off-road racer.”
Business climate: “I went into to this business when I left the family construction business. I figured people in the valley are always needing gravel for their yards. It is a competitive business. I survive mostly on word of mouth. My past customers know I don’t cut corners. People always wonder about the name of the business. I have a good sense of humor and so do most of my customers. I thought it would attract business by getting people talking about the name and it worked. I know a lot of businesses out there that have no name recognition and that’s one thing we have. I am sure I lost some business due to the name. I am really easy-going” and easy to work with.”
