Dear Pahrump friends and patients,
Dr. Derek Foreman and I would like to sincerely thank the many friends and patients who were so kind to offer our family help in our time of need from the Trout Canyon fire. The amazing outreach and hospitality we received was overwhelming and so heartwarming.
We received so many offers of shelter and such thoughtfulness and concern from our patients and friends willing to open their homes to us, or even to let us borrow an RV when we were evacuated. The kindness was extended with offers to help with laundry and we were even blessed to have homemade meals brought to our family as well as the impressive effort of what seemed like the whole town in rescuing our Akita who was misplaced from our mountain home then lost and found incredibly by West Star animal shelter. Channel 46 KPVM and social media were immediately responsive to helping find our dog as well.
So much assistance has been given to us from help with our eight dogs to borrowing water tanks (due to the fire burning Trout Canyon’s water pipe) that we realize how truly blessed we are to be a part of this special community and to know so many kind souls.
We would also like to extend a thank you to NV Treasure RV Resort for allowing the Trout Canyon residents to use their beautiful resort during our evacuation as well as the Las Vegas Water District for their hard work with the pipe repair, Water Pros and Mountain Springs Fire Dept. for donating countless water trucks, and all the fire crew for all they’ve done. Also to FEMA for bringing portable showers and supplies, the American Red Cross for cleanup kits and Joe’s Sanitation for port-a-potties, and Inspirations Senior Living for allowing the Trout Canyon meeting at their facility.
We are looking forward to final waterline repair by this Friday hopefully.
There are so many to thank and we are very grateful for that. Thank you again to everyone; we appreciate all of you and God bless.
r. Derek and Mrs. Kendell Foreman and family
