A Pahrump man is dead following a fatal car accident on the south end of town late Saturday evening.
Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue Chief Scott Lewis said the man, identified by the Clark County Coroner’s Office as Adam Kadmon Ljung, 22, succumbed to his injuries at the scene on Plantation Road near Thousandaire Boulevard, just after 11 p.m.
Another occupant of the vehicle was transported to Desert View Hospital and ultimately taken to Las Vegas with serious injuries.
Responding deputies observed an overturned newer model luxury vehicle and two persons on the ground nearby. The initial investigation indicated the occupants were ejected from the automobile.
Lewis said he was unsure whether the deceased was the driver or passenger.
“It was a late model Jaguar convertible that we found resting upside down on what would be the roof in a mesquite thicket. It was right on the border of BLM land. Notification was made to BLM officials, but they had nobody to respond,” the chief said.
A spokesperson for the coroner’s office said the victim sustained major blunt force trauma injuries as a result of the rollover accident.
“He was a Caucasian male from the Pahrump Valley. His cause of death was multiple blunt force motor vehicle trauma. The manner of death was determined to be an accident,” she said.
Officials at University Medical Center in Las Vegas have not released the condition of the unidentified occupant involved in the accident.
Attempts to reach family members of Ljung were unsuccessful. Accounts associated with that name on social media indicated he was Swedish. A family member posted a notice of the man’s death online but later erased it. Authorities made few details available by press time Tuesday.
