In perfect timing for the culmination of one of the largest sports betting events of the year, the Pahrump Nugget Hotel and Casino has unveiled a new sports book.
The state-of-the-art facility, operated by William Hill, is filled with new additions, but none more noticeable than the 165-inch HD projector screen, perfect to play the pair of NCAA Final Four games on this weekend.
Besides the Super Bowl, the NCAA Tournament is the largest sporting event for sports books, so having the new and improved book at the Nugget is a great way to watch the end of the 2015-16 college basketball season.
Besides the new projector screen, there are also 46 additional HD TVs throughout the book, which includes a fully-stocked bar, 13 bar-top games and food and drink specials, including $1 Pabst Blue Ribbons and Bavarian pretzels with beer cheese sauce or beer cheese mustard to pair it with.
“Sports fans looking to wager on their favorite teams and athletes will soon find this is their favorite place to watch a game,” said Jeremy Jenson, general manager of Golden Casino Group in Pahrump.
On Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., the sports book will celebrate its debut by offering guests a free drink and hot dog for every $10 bet.
“We are delighted to partner with Golden Casino Group in debuting the all-new William Hill Race &Sports Book in time for the the finale of the college basketball season,” said Joe Asher, William Hill’s U.S. chief executive officer. “It’s a perfect place to enjoy all the action.”
Saturday sports fans can catch the Final Four with the pair of games featuring Oklahoma versus Villanova, and North Carolina versus Syracuse, with the winner of each game facing off Monday for the 2016 NCAA national title.
The sports book is the latest addition to the hotel in the past few months, which is celebrating its 15th year in business.
The revamped bingo room called ‘The Bingo Vault’, features new bingo game technology and player-friendly programs. The Bingo Vault also features an enclosed smoking section and a non-smoking area.
Golden Casino Group also recently announced Gold Mine Rewards, a new player and retail rewards system and technology, featuring a one-card solution allowing all guests to earn rewards across all three Pahrump properties, the Nugget, Gold Town Casino and Lakeside Casino &RV Park.
A new marque was unveiled earlier this month, with a state-of-the-art video screen and two of the bigger attractions, bowling and bingo, were also added to the sign with light-up lettering.
The space where the sports book used to be is going to be converted into a lounge, which will allow for more frequent entertainment at the hotel and casino, Jenson said.
