Stripper to stand trial in fatal DUI crash

A strip club dancer will stand trial for a March DUI crash that killed a man and injured his son.

Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Suzan Baucum ruled prosecutors presented enough evidence at a preliminary hearing Thursday to send the case against Shauna Diane Miller to trial.

The 26-year-old was driving a Hummer when it crashed into a Ford Escort around 7:30 a.m. March 23, prosecutors said.

The driver of the Escort, 33-year-old James White, was killed and his 2-year-old son suffered minor injuries.

Las Vegas police said Miller told investigators she took Xanax and drank two beers at work overnight at Spearmint Rhino strip club.

During the preliminary hearing, there was conflicting testimony about whether Miller ran a red light when she crashed into the Escort.

Baucum found that the issue was a matter to be decided by a jury.

White’s fiance, Rachel Sidor, tearfully testified about how he had just dropped her off at work and was on his way home to feed their son breakfast.
