After a few days of hazy conditions in the the valley, the town will clear up in time for the weekend.
The National Weather Service said that the smoke from wildfires in neighboring California, which prompted Clark County to issue an air quality advisory Wednesday and Thursday, should be clear of Pahrump by midday Friday. East-southeast wind ranging from six to 13 mph becoming south-southwest in the afternoon, will help clear smoke from the valley.
Warm conditions with mostly sunny skies are expected today, ahead of a slight shot at precipitation Saturday, as a brief monsoon flow returns to the area.
“Saturday will be partly cloudy with a 20-percent chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon,” said Andrew Gorelow, National Weather Service meteorologist.
After the brief rain shot, temperatures will begin to increase over the next several days. The high temperature expected for Sunday is 98 degrees, rising to 102 for Monday and 103 degrees for both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lows will range between 67 degrees Saturday and 74 degrees on Wednesday.
