A Pahrump woman was arrested last week on several preliminary charges including attempted murder.
Sarah Gensaw, 22, was taken into custody by the Nye County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 23 and charged with preliminary counts of attempted murder, mayhem, battery with a deadly weapon, battery causing substantial bodily harm and battery domestic violence, for an incident involving her roommate.
Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a residence on the 400 block of Comstock Street for a reported stabbing.
Once on the scene, deputies discovered a 44-year-old man bleeding heavily from multiple serious injuries.
The victim told deputies that he was stabbed by Gensaw, who lives with him and alerted them that she fled the scene on foot.
Gensaw, who is from Anderson, California, was discovered in a different area of the neighborhood and arrested.
Gensaw was transported to the Nye County Detention Center on the various charges and is being held without bail pending her initial appearance in Pahrump Justice Court.
The male victim was transported to Desert View Hospital by ambulance and treated for the injuries he sustained during the alleged attack.
