Mask Out Cancer event
I would like to thank everyone who attended the Relay for Life Mask out Cancer fundraiser at the Pahrump Nugget on Tuesday, Feb.28, 2017. This fundraiser was also the kick-off party for the 2017 Relay for Life season, which will be held on Oct. 7, 2017 at Petrack Park, from noon until midnight. All survivors are invited to a free Survivor Lunch and the first lap around the track is reserved for the survivors.
A big thank you to all the Relay Committee members and volunteers who manned all the tables and brought all the food and donated water, including American Family Insurance. Thank you Pahrump Nugget and banquet manager Jason for all your help. Thank you Downtown Michael Brown for speaking about melanoma and early detection. Thank you Twilight Productions for providing the entertainment. Thanks to all the media for your support. Over $500 was raised for the 2017 Relay for Life.
Relay has several upcoming fundraisers, including the bowl-a-thon at the Nugget, Christmas in July karaoke with Santa, Paint the Hubb Purple, Bark for Life, and various car washes and bake sales.
