Connie Adcox passed away quietly in Beatty on Tuesday.
Beatty High School and community will miss her greatly. Connie Adcox was simply known as Mrs. A to all the kids who all will miss her and loved her dearly. When her husband coached track for Beatty High School, Mrs. A was always at his side as his assistant coach.
The 2013 girls track team dedicated their state championship win to Mrs. A.
“We won the meet for Mrs. A,” former track runner Ruth Pimentel said.
She is survived by her faithful and loving husband Jerry Adcox.

She always had a smile on her face and her students loved her very much, as did anyone else that had the good fortune to meet her. “I was very saddened to hear about Mrs. A’s passing. I know she will be missed by many and I pray for Jerry in his time of grief. Mr. A and Mrs. A were loved by all kids at Beatty High School. And when I say all, I mean all. Many of the kids looked up to Mrs. A as a mother figure. She was always there for the school district, either as a volunteer, teacher’s aide, substitute teacher and coach and more importantly she was loved by the students. A good quote for Mrs. A would be this: ‘Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.’ Mrs. A will be missed by so many, yet she will be remembered by so many more.
