Five places to watch the big game on Monday night

Monday night football can be a personal thing with some people. Some folks like to relax with family, friends and people they know at a cozy neighborhood establishment and avoid all the noise of the big casinos. Here are five great places to enjoy Monday night football in Pahrump, where they might just know your name.

Keoki’s Wings N Things is a friendly place with 17 screens to watch the game. There is a bar area and a restaurant area. Not only do they have the screens, but they also have the food and drink to cheer you up if your team is losing. This place also has jersey and hat giveaways on Monday and Thursday. There is no need to purchase a ticket for the drawing, you get one for showing up or if you get a drink or buy food you will get an additional ticket to increase your odds of winning.

Nick Moore, a partner in the restaurant, said even though he is biased, the food is fantastic.

“We also not only just serve beer,” he said. “Beer is a mainstay for Monday night football, but the ladies that go to the game like places that serve cocktails and we have those.”

Moore also said the restaurant has a great Monday night football platter.

“This thing is just huge and it tastes great,” Moore said. “It’s unbelievable.” The platter Moore is talking about is $44 and includes a mixture of wings, sliders, coleslaw, ribs, and macaroni and cheese. There is another platter that feeds 6-8 people for $80. Keoki’s is located on 1301 S. Loop Road. For more information call 775- 751-8261.

Although the Bounty Hunter Saloon’s claim to fame is being a Seahawks bar, owner Daryl Keppner said everyone is welcome. The saloon has six screens and one outdoors and has a lot of giveaways.

“I guarantee I have more prizes than any place in town,” Keppner said. “We give away all sorts of unique NFL items that you will not find anywhere else. For instance, this week I have a Minnesota nutcracker that I will give away the first game.”

Along with the prizes the bar is offering $6 beer pitchers and 50-cent wing specials. The saloon is located on 680 East St. For more information call 775-513-3370.
