“Insanity” is coming to Pahrump.
Live A Little Productions has announced the Monster Truck Insanity Tour will be coming to the McCullough Arena on Saturday, April 21, for two shows.
“We are absolutely thrilled to bring the Monster Truck Insanity Tour to Pahrump in 2018,” said Skyler Neibaur, CEO of Live A Little Productions, which produces motorsports events and concerts across the West.
“The folks at the town of Pahrump have been an absolute pleasure to work with, and we are extremely excited that we are able to bring this event to Pahrump and the surrounding communities.”
Tickets for the shows are $20 for adults and $10 for kids ages three to 12 in advance, available at the Pahrump Chamber of Commerce or online at www.livealittleproductions.com. At the gate, the prices will be $25 and $12.
“The biggest draw of monster trucks is the fact that these trucks are 12-feet-tall, 12-feet-wide, 10,000-pound beasts packing over 1,500 horsepower that fly 40 feet in the air,” Neibaur said. “Complete destruction ensues.”
The first show will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, with the evening show slated for 7 p.m. A free autograph pit party, at which spectators can get up close to the trucks and meet the drivers, will be held prior to each show, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The shows feature some of the best monster truck drivers from across the nation, as well as local tough truck and UTV races and a monster ride truck experience where spectators can take a ride in a real monster truck, Neibaur said. Food and adult beverages will be available at the show.
Organizers feel Pahrump is a natural site for a monster truck show.
“Our monster truck drivers are thrilled to compete at this facility and will undoubtedly put on a great show for the fans and sponsors,” Neibaur said.
The Monster Truck Insanity Tour was established in 2015 to provide a new racing and competition format including monster trucks, freestyle motocross and tough truck/UTV racing. The tour will include more than 25 events in 2018 throughout the West.
