It’s been a busy week for sports teams at Pahrump Valley High School.
On Saturday, Dec. 9 the Trojan wrestlers traveled to Spring Valley High School to compete in the Spring Valley Duals.
The Trojans took to the mats at 11 a.m. to duel the Wildcats of Las Vegas High School.
The final score was 51-21 in favor of the Wildcats. This makes the overall record for the Trojans 2-1 before entering league duals. The Trojans will travel once again to Liberty High School in Henderson to compete in the Patriot Duals on Saturday, Dec. 16.
The duals are set to begin at 9 a.m.
Along with the Trojans, there will be 17 other schools attending. This is the last competition before the Trojans host their first set of duals at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 against the Cheyenne High School Desert Shields.
The Trojan girls basketball team has not competed since they returned from the River Valley Invitational in Arizona.
Their next game will be against Wells High School in the Lady Bulldog Invitational. This game will be at 7:30 p.m. today, Dec. 15, in Mesquite.
The Trojan girls will be at home after a long road trip on Monday, Jan. 8 to play the Boulder City Eagles at 5 p.m.
This past weekend the Trojan boys basketball team played in the Bulldog Invitational Tournament in Mesquite.
Their first game was held on Dec. 8 and was a loss to the hosts of the tournament, the Virgin Valley Bulldogs, the final score was 59-53.
Antonio Fortin and Bryce Odegard led the team in points in this game with 15 and 12 points respectively.
Their second game was played Saturday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. against Kanab High School from Kanab, Utah. The Trojans were victorious in this game, winning 56-52.
Their final game was a 71-65 loss to the Southeast Career Technical Academy Roadrunners at 4 p.m. Dec. 9.
Antonio Fortin scored 29 points in the loss.
The Trojan boys will play their next home game on Monday, Jan. 8 against the Boulder City Eagles at 6:30 p.m.
