The Trojans boys soccer team fell to Faith Lutheran on Thursday 5-3 in their last game of the season.
Pahrump Valley (5-13-3 overall, 0-12-2 Sunset League), had a disappointing season and went without winning any league games, finishing in last place. Trojans coach Wes Icard said in the past that his team was young and has been learning despite the win/loss column. He said the passing had become better and the communication. He also said he will expect more from them next year as the team matures.
During the Faith Lutheran game, Arturo Morales, Kevin Pereira and Alex Ramirez each scored for Pahrump.
The boys have a young team and the silver lining is that most of the team will be back next year.
Girls soccer:
After tying Cheyenne last week the Lady Trojans (8-9-2, 5-7-2) played their final game with Faith Lutheran and said farewell to a great rival. The girls just didn’t have enough steam to overcome Faith Lutheran (15-6-3, 10-2-2) on Thursday and lost 4-0, finishing the year in sixth place.
