In Nevada, the high school football championships are almost over with the Division I title being decided on Dec. 5.
Division IV ended with Pahranagat Valley winning their eighth straight state title in a row, beating Whittell 54-28 in Dayton on Saturday. The win was their 93rd consecutive victory for the Panthers (12-0), tying the national record for the longest winning streak in 8-man football. Shattuck, Oklahoma won 93 straight from 2003 to 2009.

In Division III football Yerington topped Lincoln County 21-8 for its third consecutive Division III title.
Moapa Valley (11-2) traveled to Reno hoping to win their second consecutive title in a row, but was thwarted by Churchill County, who defeated the Pirates 34-27.
The Greenwave scored in the fourth quarter on a 3-yard touchdown run, and that was the difference of the game.
In the Division I Northern region final, Reed beat Carson 56-28 and will play the Southern Sunset League champion.
In the Division I Southern championship game Bishop Gorman (13-0) beat Arbor View 28-10 and although Gorman won, they could lose their number one ranking because of the closeness of the game.
The Sunrise champion will be determined this Saturday as Basic (10-1) hosts Liberty (10-1) at 12:10 p.m. Reed will play Bishop Gorman on Saturday at Reed High School at 12:15 p.m. The championship game will be played on Dec. 5 at 12 p.m.
