Sierra Vista rolled over the Trojans 71-30 in Wednesday night’s home game. The Mountain Lions quickly overpowered the Trojans in the first quarter with a 14-0 lead. Pahrump (3-14 overall, 1-9 Sunset League) finally scored in the last two minutes of the first to make it 16-2.
The Trojans were no match for the Sierra Vista speed on offense and the Trojans man-to-man defense couldn’t keep up. The Mountain Lions utilized good passing, screens and give-and-go plays to easily penetrate the Trojans defense.
Senior Danny Foss led the Trojans in scoring with 16 points.
By the half Sierra Vista had a commanding 38-15 lead.
The Trojans host Del Sol (11-10, 5-5) in non-league action Friday at 6:30 p.m.
